Last week our dojo was represented at the Badger State Karate Tournament by Zoe and Dakota.  You both did a GREAT job and we are very proud of you for your performance amongst some strong competition.  Dakota, as most of you know, won the SILVER medal in kata with Pinan Sandan and a GOLD medal in sparring.  His accomplishments at this tournament has earned him the opportunity to compete in the 2009 Nationals in Colorado.

Yesterday, June 14th 2008 at the Kazoku Budokan Dojo we conducted a test for members of the children's class.  I am proud to announce that it was a very good test and that all passed.  Congratulations to you all, you have worked very hard and all deserve your new rank.

I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of the blackbelt members and the other 5 or 6 members of the adult class who very unselfishly give of their time to help out with the children's class.  We have about thirty children enrolled with sometimes as many as 20 in class at one time. To have five or so blackbelts and as many other adults to help out makes things a lot easier and certainly the children benefit greatly.  THANK all of you for your help.
